Forget the time when taking a train in Poland meant a long, uncomfortable journey that all dreaded. A few years back, the Polish State Railroad (PKP) introduced faster trains that are not only comfortable but quite often get there before a car would (and they didn't pay us to say that!).

The two lines are InterCity (a country-wide connector), and EuroCity which takes you to neighboring western and southern countries.
